A printer that prints well, isn’t too expensive and the ink is cheap. That’s not too much to ask for, is it? After many years of printing and countless printers later, I now have what I believe is the BEST homeschool printer. I love my printer!
I have had so many different printers over the years. I’ve had several laser printers, Canon Ink Jet Printers, Brother Laser and Ink Jet Printers, you name it, I’ve probably had it.
Several months ago, I purchased a new printer and absolutely love it! A printer is something I couldn’t go without. Well, I probably could, but I wouldn’t want to! I’ve printed over 300 pages in the last few months and my HP printer is still going strong. So, if you’re in the market for a new printer I recommend this

It is my personal opinion that HP makes the best printers for your homeschool. Maybe there are others out there, but this is my recommendation. I personally have the HP Officejet 4650, but it is no longer on the market. BUT, this Wireless All-in-One Photo Printer
Why do I love this Printer?
- It’s under $100
When I went searching for a printer, I was not trying to spend a fortune. We have five boys and we live on one income. So I am always looking for the best deal without sacrificing quality. And I have to say, the price was right and my printer has not disappointed me! This printer has great reviews and all the same capabilities.
- It prints in Color
Of course, it does, right? This may seem silly, but there are printers that only print in Black ink. This one, however prints in color! I like the worksheets and activities I print for my kids to have color.
- It’s HP Instant Ink Compatible (This alone makes the printer well worth the price!)
If you don’t know what that means you’re wasting a ton of money! HP Instant Ink is probably the best service ever invented. (Well, for people who like to print lots of worksheets, like us homeschool moms!) I have literally saved over 50% on ink! With this service, it doesn’t really matter how much ink you use. It’s kind of crazy, I just wish I had known about it sooner!

- Wireless Capability
This is always a nice feature. Especially if you use a laptop or want to print directly from your phone or tablet. You just hook up the printer through your wifi and you’re able to print from any room in the house. If you follow the instructions on the CD provided, it’s very simple to set up.
- Your printer has an e-mail address
No, I haven’t really used this feature, but it’s kinda cool. Your printer has its own email address. Is a friend or coworker emailing you a document? Just tell them to email it to your printer and it will print right out!
- Other Pluses
You can scan items directly to your computer or make a quick copy of a worksheet for multiple children. This printer honestly does everything you would ever need a printer to do.
What don’t I like about it?

Ok, maybe it could print a little faster, but that’s really all I can come up with right now. Don’t misunderstand me, it’s not really, really slow or anything. Just if I had to say anything negative, that would be it.
Having my own business and homeschooling my boys, I print a lot of worksheets and documents. I’ve had several printers in my life and HP Printers, have never disappointed me. You get everything you could possibly need in a printer for your homeschool. You’ll have a printer, scanner, and copier in one with wireless printing and they’re Instant Ink ready. Which is awesome.
