Mercari
Mercari is one of my favorites right now. You can easily list items and make a little extra money. They have a great system set up that will protect the buyer and the seller.
However, with Mercari you must have a smartphone. They do have a website, but you can only list things through their app. I am not sure why maybe one day this will be different. If you have a smartphone, it is so worth it.
Here is a screenshot right from the Mercari app of how much money I have in my Mercari account right now.

Let It Go
This is another great app that you can use to sell unwanted items. Again you must have a smartphone. It is so simple to me though. You download the app, take a picture of your item and list it quickly.
With this app, your items are sold locally so the purchaser will pay you cash upon pickup. This means you can make money by selling bigger, heavier items and you don’t have to worry about shipping.
All buyers and sellers are rated and verified. This makes it a little more secure. Always use good judgment though and never meet anyone alone.

Facebook Yard Sale Groups
Did you know If you go to Facebook and search your county\city + yard sale group, you will find a group for your area where you can list and sell your unwanted stuff.? You must have a Facebook account to do this. Most yard sale groups will be private so they will be limited to only people in your area.
I have sold everything from used shoes and furniture to handmade wood signs.
Some groups will have restrictions on what you can and can’t sell. Restrictions like; no car salesmen or no selling of illegal items. Make sure you read the guidelines for each group and you will have nothing to worry about.
The group for the area where I live literally has 20,000 people in it! That’s 20,000 people that will get to view any item I list. If they are interested all they have to do is comment on the image of your item or send you a personal message.
